1 story cottage in St. John, Virgin Islands (USA)

Coral Bay is the more laid-back side of St. John, with goats and donkeys along the road.  It has 2 well stocked markets, a choice of restaurants and gift shops, water sport rentals, bars and live music venues AND you can park right in front of them all!   But if you crave the night life and more extensive shopping, Cruz Bay and its bright lights is only 8 miles away........
The cottage is typical wooden West Indian architecture with a large, airy living space and 2 covered decks as the weather permits us to spend so much of our time outdoors. Completely screened, the cottage was built on a hillside so it catches the Trade Winds.  Located on a dirt road cul de sac off the main paved road, the only traffic is that of an occasional neighbor going by.  The cottage sits on a 1/2 acre of mature landscaping, so you are able to observe lots of birds weaving in and out of banana, papaya, soursop, passion fruit and other local plants.  From 3 sides of deck you have a view of green surrounding hillsides off in the distance, and you are only minutes away from at least 10 beautiful beaches.
Catch n' Keep has its own driveway and turnaround so you can park close to the cottage and not have to park on the main road and carry your luggage and groceries up and down flights of hillside stairs.
Inside, the cottage is a fully equipped home with queen bed and linens, native stone shower and towels, full kitchen with stove/oven, fridge, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker and bean grinder. Relax with Cable/DVD/CD, WIFI, books, games, and 3 ring binders full of suggestions of where to go and what to see.  A Weber gas grille and deck furniture will let you live outside as we do.  And for island fun, there are beach chairs and towels, cooler chests, noodle floats and several sizes of swim fins to use. Rather than a sterile vacation condo,  Catch n' Keep Cottage gives you a chance to experience what living in a real island home  might be like.

Lähin lentokenttä: STT (St Thomas, VI) - 15 min ferry ride

Smallest of 3 Virgin Islands (STX, STT, STJ) St John is the least developed and 70% of the island is National Park. It is our water and our white sand beaches that are the main attraction, and our weather is lovely all year. We have but one hotel (Caneel Bay) on island, so many folks rent their homes to tourists and the island is in demand during the cold weather stateside months.... so if considering a trip Dec - Apr, you must plan or correspond early, in order to have space put aside while you consider. The cottage is located on a hillside in a quiet neighborhood with only neigborhood traffic. The cottage is on .5acre lot with native plants, many birds, and a great breeze. No ocean view... only green hillsides in distance, but you are a short drive to many lovely beaches on our 12 mile island!
