Bright apartment with a view over the Botanic Garden
We live in a comfy and sunny apartment a five minutes’ walk from the old town. It has a large living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms (two doubles and a single) and a small terrace where we love to have breakfast at weekends. We have air conditioning, dish washer, wifi and TV platforms. We also have a parking space in the builiding that you can use.
From our house you can easily walk to Valencia beautiful old town and city centre, visit the Botanic Garden and the Valencian Institute for Modern Art (IVAM) or enjoy a bike ride or a walk in the river (which, in fact, it’s not a river any more but a huge garden!). You can use our bikes or the public bike service as we have one station just round the corner. Valencia is a perfect city to bike as is flat and there are a lot of cycle lanes.
The city beach, Malvarrosa, and the beautiful beach of El Saler are just a 20 minute ride or you can also take a bus to arrive there. The City of Arts and Sciences and the Oceanografic are also easily accessible by car (15 minutes) or by bus. Our house is very well connected by public transportation and from the nearest bus and underground stops you’ll be able to go to the main tourist attractions.
In our neighborhood you may find supermarkets, a local market, playgrounds and some good restaurants and cafes. There is also a nearby mall, tennis courts and an indoor pool.

About the neighborhood
We live in Botanic, a historic neighbourhood in the centre of Valencia that still keeps its old colourful houses and local atmosphere. We love it because of its location, five minutes to the old town and at a walkable distance of almost everywhere. We also like that it’s so green, with the charming Botanic Garden, which is an oasis in the middle of the city, and at a short distance to the river, perfect for sport or walks in the open air. There’s also other gardens and small squares with cafés and terraces, as well as playground areas.
Valencia is a beautiful city with a Mediterranean vibe. Here you can find from Roman remains to Medieval buildings, Modernism or futuristic architecture. There are important museums, some of them in our neighbourhood, like the IVAM or La Beneficiencia. Not to forget beaches and an exceptional gastronomy, being this region the hometown of the paella.
There are also excellent daytrips for those seeking nature (la Albufera, Sant Josep Caves, spring waters of Montanejos), culture (castle and Roman theatre of Sagunto, castle of Játiva), beach towns (Altea, Benicássim, Peñíscola) or charming mountain villages (Morella, Rubielos de Mora). Children will be happy spending the day in Terra Mítica, Dinopolis or Aquarama.
From Valencia you also have the possibility to visit Madrid and Barcelona thanks to high speed trains which leave you in these cities in less than two hours.

This Spanish family was not able to come to our place due to medical problems and was still prepared to lend us their home. Very kind family.
We had a wonderful holiday in Valencia. The flat is very comfortable and in a fantastic location in the city with the old town only 5 minutes walk away, and buses and the underground train network easily accessible. Paula and Javier were so lovely and helpful and left our house in perfect condition.

We loved to travel when we had no children and now we don’t want to miss the opportunity to discover the world with them. A second-generation of home exchangers, we like to immerse in the places we go and visit places off the beaten track. We like nature, good food and meeting new people. We are respectful and will do our best to make the family that comes to our house feel at home.
