A pleasant home on the Wild Atlantic Way

A spacious and comfortable home with a large garden situated in a quiet, picturesque rural lane leading down to the sea, which is perfect for swimming. A friendly and quiet neighbourhood. Plenty of fine scenic walks by the Atlantic. We are situated in a seabird sanctuary and there is an abundance of wildlife. The local village, Oranmore, which is a 10 minute drive away, has plenty to offer in terms of pubs, Irish music, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. The area is also steeped in history. There are other villages nearby such as Clarinbridge.
Galway is a vibrant city and is the gateway to Connemara and the Aran Islands - all of spectacular, natural beauty. To the south of Galway and a short drive away from our house is the unique limestone landscape of the Burren. En route to the Burren is the charming seaside village of Kinvara. Although a rural setting Galway city is close by and can be easily accessed from the local village by public transport. However, to get to the village, Oranmore, one really needs a car (or bicycle, which we have here). Shannon airport is less than an hour's drive.
We do not have pets living in our house, we do feed a few outdoor neighbourhood cats. They are quite self-sufficient and do not depend on daily attention.
