Our mountain flat (2 rooms plus one bathroom, good for 4 people) is at the second floor in the historic centre of Ponte di Legno. From there you can go on foot in 5 minutes in the mountain environment of trees and mountain view and leave for many excursions, other excursions are available by car. Anyway I begin to give you some ideas about possible destination of tour trip from Ponte di Legno: First of all you can have many kind of mountain excursions: observations of wild animals as marmots, chamois, eagles…, visiting forts and trenches rests of the first world war ( in Temù there is a small museum of the White War in the glaciers of Adamello) , reaching snow and glaciers…. If you want to drive some more you can visit the Park of rock engravings in val Camonica ( one of the most important prehistoric archaeologist site in Europe), the Iseo lake with Montisola (the largest lake island in Europe, very beautiful and empty of cars), very interesting are art attractions as Romanic churches (Capo di Ponte) and Romanino’s frescos (Pisogne). You can reach even Livigno that is a duty free tourist area close to Switzerland.

Winter in Ponte di Legno

The Italian ski resort of Ponte di Legno ( http://www.adamelloski.com/en/ ) has direct access to 46 individual pistes, served by 30 ski lifts. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season. From our house it's possible to go on foot to the main ski tow .Ponte di Legno is able to augment natural snow, on 100km of ski runs, with 200 Snow Cannons. The 30 Ski Lifts of Ponte di Legno are able to uplift 34,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour. Ponte di Legno offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers. Rated highly for boarders, thanks to its wide open powder bowls, fast easy uplift and high value pricing. A snowpark for snowboarders can be found under the Tonale-Valena ski lift. All trails are open to snowboarders and the most dedicated will want to hire a guide in order to make the famous Presena off piste
