Large house in South West of France. Quietness in a well preserved environnment
Our home is located at the bottom of the Quercy hiilside, a quiet place. The village is situated alongside river Aveyron, and has a a charming sandy beach (bathing daily open, and a little restaurant open all summer long too). As a traditionnal French village, you find a real baker, a fine butcher, a bar, grocery, pharmacy, petrol station, post office ... The well equiped kitchen is separated from the dining room (with a fire place) ; one bathroom is on each of the two levels, and the 6 bedrooms are decorated. Our garden is 2 000 m², with trees. We have two terraces to enjoy the view and to take lunches and diners (barbecue). Our pool is 6 m diameter and 1,20 m hight, enough for kids and parents to bathe in !
Plenty of places around to visit such as Montauban (5 kms only), Rocamadour (famous pilgrimage center), prehistoric caves, medieval castles (Bonaguil, Bruniquel ...) , Pyrenees range, the city of Toulouse (Space museum) at 30 mns, Wallibi resort center in Agen (1 hour drive), footpaths and rivers aroundd. Canoeing in the Aveyron gorges is a must !.. Albi (UNESCO heritage) is at 1 hour drive from us

Notre maison est située dans les coteaux du Quercy, dans un endroit calme. Le village est situé au bord de l’Aveyron, et possède une charmante plage sablonneuse (surveillée l’été) avec une guinguette gastronomique estivale. Les commerces : boulangerie traditionnelle, boucherie, café-bar, épicerie-point de presse, poste et pharmacie et petite station service sont ouverts toute l’année. Il y a une maison médicale à Loubejac, à 3 km et infirmières à domicile au village. Notre maison possède tout le confort désiré, avec deux terrasses et piscine autoportée, au milieu d’un jardin de 2 000 m² arboré, à flanc de coteau, dans un petit vallon à la sortie du village.
Notre chemin des Martelles est une impasse asphaltée qui dessert une dizaine de maisons espacées. Montauban est à 5 km, et beaucoup de lieux à visiter alentour : Rocamadour (à 1h30), les Pyrénées (2h30), Albi, chateaux médiévaux de Bruniquel, Bonaguil, Toulouse (1h) etc … Les gorges de l’Aveyron sont tout près pour une descente en canoé !

About the neighborhood
Our one-way lane is very calm and leads to a small wood inhabited by deers and boars. Our neighbours are senior people all very friendly and quiet.
Notre impasse mène à un petit bois qui abrite des chevreuils et sangliers. Nos voisins sont tous amicaux et calmes.

25 ans d'échange de maison en famille, que de beaux souvenirs !
Catherine is a community health nurse for chilldren under 6, jean-François is a teacher in Montauban nursing school. We have 6 children from 20 to 35, and only Eloi lives at home, in a studio located in an extension of the house. He might remain in his studio while you are here, he his very quiet and discreet, autonomous and he can be helpful too. He can speak English very well.
We have been exchanging our home for holidays abroad nearly every year since 2000 and still love it !
Catherine est infirmière puéricultrice et Jean-François est formateur en école d'infirmières. Nous avons eu 6 enfants et actuellement seul Eloi (26 ans) vit à la maison, dans le studio situé dans une extension de la maison (avec sa kitchenette, salon et salle de bains) . Il se pourrait qu'il soit là quand vous viendrez mais il est très tranquille et discret, autonome et il travaille en journée.
Nous pratiquons l'échange de maisons à l'étranger depuis l'an 2 000 et nous aimons toujours autant !
