Apartment or entire house in LONDON, Great Britain
Our street is calm and quiet, despite being so central. And our home is modest and comfortable: Our house is a typical London Victorian, 4 storey, yellow brick terraced house. The house is divided into two apartments. But you can use the whole house for our summer exchange, if you need it.
Upstairs apartment:
· Living room with TV, Youview TV box, sofa-bed (sleeps 2)
· Well-equipped kitchen/dining room, lots of cookbooks
· 2 bedrooms upstairs (one with double bed, one with single bed)
· Bathroom with bath and shower
· 2 separate toilets (one is upstairs, near the bedrooms)
· Sunny roof terrace for evening sunshine, with table and chairs
Downstairs apartment:
· Living / dining room
· Fully fitted kitchen
· 1 bedroom, with super kingsize bed or two single beds
· Bathroom with toilet, bath with shower, washing machine, dryer
· Shady garden with small table and chairs
This summer, we will be travelling with our son & daughter-in-law and grandson (3 yrs old). And perhaps with our younger son and his girlfriend.
We don't have a car, and would like an exchange close enough to a train station that we can get to your home on foot or by bus or tram.
We are all cyclists. There is one bicycle here (it lives in the street, in a bike locker). We can make two more bikes available, if you need them. Two of the bikes are for tall people, and one is for a smaller person. And it's easy to pick up a hire bike if you need more – there are several docking stations in our neighbourhood. You just pay with your credit card.
If you have bicycles we can use, that would be great!

Le style de vie
We've been sharing this house via Intervac since our boys were little – now they are all grown up! It's a great way to make new friends and discover new places. We love that our exchange partners can share our favourite places and things to do in London, while enjoying the comfort of our home – as we do theirs.
This summer, we would love to be close to a beach – sea, lake or river – because swimming is wonderful. And walking, cycling, visiting museums & art galleries, walks in nature.
We also love books, and reading, playing board games and outdoor games, going to the theatre & seeing live music.
And we love eating good food – so please tell us about your favourite cafés and markets!
Travelling by train is our favourite – we don't like to fly.

La maison est idéalement située et permet de faire bien des visites de Londres à pied, même avec des enfants car elle est l'hyper centre. Nous y étions pendant les Jeux Olympiques ce qui nous a permis d'assister à quelques événements.
Nous avons eu un bon contact avec Marnie et Frank qui ont bien pris soin de notre maison.
