Montenero di Bisaccia is a small town on a cliff, overlooking the Adriatic coastline. Very genuine and all Italian. Larger towns we very much like to visit are Termoli and Vasto. Up in the mountains you can find lovely small towns and villages. Of course you can also eat and drink very well, we have been to a few wineyards. As always with Italy there are som much history and sights, you just have to find them. The countryside is peaceful and mostly farmland. The beaches are lovely, many are Blue flag beaches. Places to visit in Molise; Agnone, Castelpetroso, Sepino, Pietrabbondante, Altilia, Isernia and others. Parco Nazionaledel Gargano you find in Puglia, south of Molise. From Termoli there are ferries to the popular Tremiti Islands. Up in the Appennine mountains you can skii during winter, at Roccaraso for ex. In the mountains you also find national parks with great wild life, large forests, lakes and rivers. There are plenty of hikingpossibilities, with wild life. In Basilicata you find Matera, an old town listed on world heritage list. Also the trullis in Alberobello. We have had our house for 11 yrs now so we are still exploring.
