Spello is a picturesque villages in Umbria and has been awarded the Bandiera Arancione (Orange Flag), recognizing it as one of Italy’s most beautiful villages.

The area is perfect for those who love art, culture, nature, and good food. You’ll find endless opportunities for walking, hiking, biking, horseback riding, or paragliding from the top of Mount Subasio — but also for exploring ancient towns, museums, churches, and art treasures. Food and wine lovers will enjoy discovering local wineries, olive oil mills, and restaurants. Throughout the year, the region hosts a rich calendar of festivals, cultural events, and food celebrations. During the Christmas season, nativity scenes and living nativity displays appear in nearly every Umbrian village, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

My house is just outside the historic center, in a peaceful area within walking distance of everything. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the train station, and all main services — supermarket, pharmacy, gas station — as well as restaurants, bars, pizzerias, bike rentals, museums, churches, and other landmarks are close by.

The property is fully fenced, offering safety and peace of mind — especially for families with young children. From the entrance gate, you can step right onto a network of hiking and e-bike trails that wind through the Umbrian countryside, connecting nearby amenities, hamlets, and some of the region’s most scenic villages.

The garden is a lovely spot to relax and unwind. It features trees and flowering plants, an outdoor dining area with a table, chairs, sun umbrella, gas barbecue, deck chairs, and a swing — perfect for enjoying meals outside or simply soaking in the tranquility.

The house was recently renovated and includes two apartments. The ground-floor apartment is rented out, while the upper-floor apartment — available for exchange — features an entrance hall, a bright living room, a spacious eat-in kitchen, a bathroom, and two comfortable bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed, while the second has a French double bed, with the option to add a single bed if needed. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning.

On the lower level, connected to the main apartment by an internal staircase, there’s a tavernetta with a second kitchen and a large fireplace — perfect for wood-fired cooking and cozy meals together.

Three cats and two small dogs live on the property. The cats are shy and usually keep to themselves, while the dogs are gentle, friendly, and love meeting new people. They stay in the garden and do not enter the house. The property also includes a covered parking space.
